Boarding Requirements
To ensure the safety and comfort of all pets staying at our facility, we require the following:
Health Requirements
- Fecal Testing: A current fecal test is required for dogs, cats, large birds, rabbits, and ferrets. This precaution ensures the safety of all pets and staff by screening for parasites with human potential.
- Flea and Tick Prevention: All pets must be on a veterinarian-approved flea and tick prevention plan. If fleas are detected during the stay, a Capstar treatment will be administered, and the pet will be isolated. Additional charges will apply for the treatment.
- Vaccinations: All pets must have up-to-date vaccinations at least two weeks prior to boarding to allow full immunity. This helps reduce the risks associated with being in a hospital environment.
- Dogs: Rabies, DALPP aka DHLPP (Distemper, Hepatitis caused by Adenovirus, Leptospirosis, Parainfluenza, Parvo) *Some clinics give the Lepto vaccine as a separate vaccine, Bordetella (Kennel Cough)
- Cats: Rabies, FVRCP (Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus, Panleukopenia), FeLV (Feline Leukemia Virus) vaccine in the last year if the cat goes outside at all, ALL cats also need a history of a negative FeLV/FIV snap test
- Ferrets: Rabies, Distemper
- Rabbits: RHDV
- Symptom-Free: Pets showing signs of illness, including coughing, vomiting, diarrhea, or any other potentially contagious condition within the past two weeks, cannot be admitted for boarding.
We take these measures to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for every guest. If you have any questions or need clarification, please contact us before booking.
